The journey began back in 2010 when the words “your child has autism” were heard and “ABA is the only solution” were read. That’s when “pursuing and bringing the best in this part of the world too” became a passion and a promise that needed to be fulfilled to assure a better today and a best tomorrow for children with autism and related disorders in Pakistan.
Education
Ms. Aisha Fawad, BCBA, embarked on her journey in Special Needs Education and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) after her firstborn was diagnosed with Autism in 2010. She earned her first certification in ABA from the Center of Autism and Related Disorders (CARD), Texas, USA, in 2011. She later pursued a Master’s and MPhil in Special Needs Education from the University of Management and Technology (UMT), Lahore, from 2012 to 2020. Recognized as the first Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in Lahore, she made significant strides in the field. Her research efforts include publishing the “Autism Spectrum Quotient (AQ) – Urdu Version” at the Autism Research Center, University of Cambridge. In 2021, she obtained a Post Graduate Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis from the Florida Institute of Technology (FIT), USA, under the mentorship of ABA pioneers like Jose Martinez Diaz (BCBA-D). She completed her 1500-hour ABA Practicum under Dr. Lisa Britton (BCBA-D), a student of James Carr, the CEO of BACB, culminating in her BCBA certification in November 2021.
Professional Skills
Ms. Aisha is a trailblazer in Pakistan’s ABA community, becoming the first BCBA in Lahore and an Approved Continuing Education (ACE) Provider for the BACB in 2023. She has over a decade of experience, serving as a founding member of prominent special needs projects in Lahore and leading initiatives for over a decade.
